United States · Legal terms & client relations
Federal requirements and the law of an agreed state.
Choose the region relevant to your order. Before contracting, agree the governing law, deliverables, payment and dispute process in light of your status and the parties’ places of business.
These are options for negotiating a contract, not four jurisdictions applying at once. Website language, currency and page selection do not choose governing law. Mandatory rules remain applicable regardless of the parties’ choice.
Law and business format
For a commercial project, the contract selects a state, governing law and dispute venue. There is no single US contract law for every order. Scope, deliverables, changes, material licences, taxes and currency are agreed. Federal and mandatory state rules remain applicable.
Information before your order
Before accepting a proposal, review the provider, address and payment recipient in the order documents. Trade-name registration and public-information duties depend on the state and activity. Where pre-contract disclosure is mandatory, the information must be available earlier.
Payment, cancellation and protection
Advances and stages are recorded in the order; cancellation rules are disclosed before payment. No universal three-day right to cancel online purchases is promised. Applicable consumer protections take priority. Material restrictions and additional charges must be clear, without misleading promises.
